Level 1 Chimney Inspection
For the same appliance, same fuel, and same use
We will:
Check certificates, data plates, and service history
Inspect the outside of the chimney (from ground level)
Check the appliance and installation for safety
Remove and refit the appliance if needed
Sweep and clean the flue
Examine the debris for problems
Carry out a basic camera check
Perform a smoke test
Check ventilation, carbon monoxide alarm, and fuel type
Level 2 Chimney Inspection
This is required when:
A fault is found during a Level 1 inspection
The fuel, appliance, or how it’s used has changed
The property has been sold or rented to someone new
There has been a chimney fire, house fire, or building work
It is requested by Building Control, Environmental Health, or an insurer
We will:
Carry out everything in a Level 1 inspection (if not done recently)
Perform a full smoke or leakage test
Complete a full internal camera inspection
Recommission the appliance (if safe to use)
Measure flue draft
Provide a full written report
